Meet big-league investors.

The Pan-Asia Venture Development Platform (PAVD) is an independent self-funded platform designed to engage CUHK MBA students and graduates in the development of quality, high-growth ventures in Asia. It is one of the world’s largest venture investment clubs, connects CUHK MBA students and graduates with business angels and venture capitalists in the region. Fuel your entrepreneurial dreams by learning how to make compelling investment presentations and secure the financial resources you need to grow your next business venture.

Learn to pitch a business idea and secure real funding.

Our Applied Entrepreneurship – Remodelling and Fundraising in Asia course is where entrepreneurial students immerse in highly practical topics related to business execution, coming face-to-face with real projects and real money. Through this course, you will re-design existing global ventures and present your investment proposal to a group of 20-40 PAVD-registered senior executives, investment capitalists and other private equity investors, and potentially securing investment capital.

Project Selection

PAVD sources existing ventures globally including start-ups and SMEs, with preference given to quality ventures faced with funding challenges.

Project Analysis and Knowledge-Sharing

After carrying out due diligence, students analyse the potential of the selected business ventures, while invited entrepreneurs share their startup stories with the students for information and inspiration.

Project Redesign and Investment Proposal Development

Students review their project’s business model, taking on the investors’ perspective to develop a re-designed commercialisation and fundraising proposal for the business.

The Business Pitch

Students present their proposals to a panel of relevant investors who can support their proposal with the necessary capital.
Approximately 20-30% of students’ proposals successfully receive funds from the PAVD investors.
