Prof. Chau brings 30-year extensive experience in venture development and investment in the Asia Pacific region and shows students how entrepreneurs can be successful in Asia. In his course ” Applied Entrepreneurship – Remodelling & Fundraising”, students will remodel existing ventures that were rejected by investors, pitch and raise real money from PAVD investors panel, one of the world’s largest venture investment platforms.

Global Telecom Solutions Sector.  As he has substantial experience in driving tech adoption and developing innovation ecosystem, he could guide students to navigate both uncertainties and challenges from technological and market changes through his course “Managing Innovation & Technology”.

Learn to pitch a business idea and secure real funding

Our Applied Entrepreneurship – Remodelling and Fundraising in Asia course is where entrepreneurial students immerse in highly practical topics related to business execution, coming face-to-face with real projects and real money. Through this course, you will re-design existing global ventures and present your investment proposal to a group of 20-40 PAVD-registered senior executives, investment capitalists and other private equity investors, and potentially securing investment capital.

The Pan-Asia Venture Development Platform (PAVD) is an independent self-funded platform designed to engage CUHK MBA students and graduates in the development of quality, high-growth ventures in Asia. Fuel your entrepreneurial dreams by learning how to make compelling investment presentations and secure the financial resources you need to grow your next business venture.

Hone Entrepreneurial Skills for Asia

Pi Centre with the expertise of building startups, offers advice and industry connections to students, actualising preliminary ideas into working business models, and providing workspace, facilities, training, proof of concept and mentoring services.  Pi Centre helps aspiring entrepreneurs to prepare and fine-tune their startup plans. Upon completing PILOTS Lite, a 12-month pre-incubation programme in the PI Centre, students are ready for the next stage of their entrepreneurship journey, such as meeting with angel incubators and venture capitalists, and/or entering into incubation programmes organised by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Coorporation, Cyberport and more.

CUHK MBA has a well-designed entrepreneurship curriculum with emphasis on social responsibility which motivated me to give back to society. As a result, I established a Private Equity/Venture Capital fund to help entrepreneurs turning their own ideas into successful business with fundraising and networking guidance.
